Bruce Whitfield is an award-winning South African business speaker, journalist, and author. Known for his sharp financial analysis and ability to demystify complex business topics, he helps leaders understand the intersection of business, politics, and society. 

Career and media work

  • Journalism and broadcasting: For over 20 years, Whitfield was the host of The Money Show on South Africa’s Talk Radio 702 and CapeTalk. In June 2024, he left the show to focus on new projects. His career has included countless interviews with business leaders and politicians, as well as work for print and television media.
  • Podcast host: He hosts two podcasts. The Art of Deciding features conversations with top decision-makers from various fields. Bruce Whitfield’s Business Week is a weekly podcast launched in July 2025 in partnership with News24.
