Tarabu blends jazz with world music influences, pulling in elements from Eastern Europe, Latin styles, and African rhythm. The lineup often includes violin, accordion, percussion, and rhythm section, which gives their sound a very different texture from a typical jazz group.

There’s a strong rhythmic drive to what they do, but also a lot of movement in the melodies, so the set doesn’t sit in one place for too long. It feels varied without becoming chaotic.

They work well at festivals, outdoor events, and functions that want something a bit more distinctive than standard jazz or cover bands.
