Femi brings a much more Afrocentric feel to jazz, both in how he sounds and how he presents himself. As a saxophonist, his playing leans into Afro-jazz and fusion, with stronger rhythm and a more expressive, front-facing style than a typical background jazz setup.

There’s a clear performance element here. This isn’t just someone standing off to the side playing through standards. The look, the movement, and the way he plays all pull attention in, which makes him better suited to moments where the music should actually stand out a bit.

He works well at cultural events, private functions, and corporate setups that want something with more identity and presence, rather than something purely low-key.
