Stuart helped establish stand-up comedy in SA as a live entertainment genre as a founding member of the Cape Comedy Collective in 1999. This helped him break into Cape Town comedy before developing his own programmes.
His performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Berlin International Comedy Festival, New Zealand International Comedy Festival, and Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland have been well received.
He has developed, produced, and performed 16 solo shows across SA. These solo performances have won the Ovation Award, Overall Best Comedy at the National Arts Festival, and Show Time Award for best solo performance. Stuart wrote Learner Husband, a best-selling comedy book, after his solo show’s popularity. It was released in 2013 with a nationwide marketing.
Stuart founded Taylor Made Productions in 2005 to produce live stage events and TV broadcasts after a decade in the industry.
